Review of Sizzling Tapas at Mother Chu's Vegetarian Kitchen by xinru-t
Beancurd, eggplant, and bell pepper each stuffed with finely minced tofu and carrots. Kind of like stuffed yong tau foo! It was actually the same filling as that used in the dim sims (and I believe some other menu items like wantons etc), but I loved the filling in this dish as the exterior was slightly crisp. Came served on a sizzling hotplate, and the waiter drizzled the black bean sauce on at our table. The sauce itself was very umami and also contained some shredded vegetables.
