This is another bar I purchased from 7th Heaven around the holidays. This one tastes pretty much the same as the peanut butter cornflake bar I reviewed earlier but does not have the added crunchiness. The chocolate is very milky/creamy and enjoyable. I’m assuming this is due to the soy milk and makes me wonder why more brands do not use soy milk for their milk chocolate; I assume perhaps due to allergies. The bar once again reminds me of one I had in my childhood. The photo on the package, however, is a bit misleading as there’s not really a big distinction between the chocolate and cream as shown.
The packaging lists fair trade but didn’t have the official symbol, and even if it did that wouldn’t necessarily confirm ethical sourcing. I submitted the company for review to Food Empowerment Project a bit ago so I’ll wait for the result before repurchasing or adding to my recommended list.
