I cannot believe that such a product exists. I have known about this technology for quite some time but only recently discovered it in my local grocery store. I had not tasted 'real' ice-cream for nearly 15 years.
I found the taste and texture to be as I remember dairy ice-cream, which even as a non-vegan I liked less than non-dairy ice cream substitutes like sorbet; that is to say it is very soft even when frozen and very 'melty'.
I am happy to report that plant-based substitutes are more delicious.
That being said, I hope that this product will satisfy those folks who prefer this texture for whatever reason.
