The vegan soybean paste was slightly bitter and has a pleasant savory flavor, however, the texture is lacking and feels like ketchup. To improve the taste I put it on white rice, and I saw a great improvement. I see this as a viable alternative for the non-vegan version for certain dishes. Recommend.
