I used to try to buy as much of my produce organic as possible, but I’ve eased up on that over the past year or so for financial reasons. One item I cannot compromise on, though, is carrots. I find conventional carrots (in the USA) do not have any flavor. Organic, whole carrots taste a world better and these ones from Trader Joe’s are always extremely tasty and fresh.
I usually eat carrots raw, either on their own or with a dip. I also like them shredded for salads, fresh rolls or maki rolls.
I don’t cook carrots very often, but do enjoy them roasted, especially alongside other roasted root veggies.
