These are described as "a fruity filling inside a tasty, flaky crust wholesome goodness that takes you back home with every bite!" on the wrapper.
The crust is not flaky or anything even vaguely reminiscent of a pie crust; it's more like the outside of a Fig Newton. The cherry filling looks nothing like the image on the packaging, and again is similar to the paste-y insides of a Fig Newton. Actually this is more or less like a cherry Fig Newton.
False advertising aside, this was a decent snack that I picked up in a (ravenous) pinch at our local landscape store of all places and it kept me from being hangry...so it did it's job. 😁
