When it comes to cereals and porridges, brands in the main supermarkets are a bit slow to label whether theirs are vegan or plant based and there’s not much choice either. Nor do I want to spend too much time reading labels and googling. I did find this simple ingredient 5 grain porridge from affordable whole foods brand Macro though, but you have to add your own flavours and sweeteners. It did the job as a textured topping for my smoothie bowl, and I’ll probably get more for the winter, but I’ll be branching out to the specialty stores to see what else is available for vegan breakfast.
