It was by absolute coincidence that my friend returning from travel brought an assortment of #sweet treats that included this lovely number. Sometimes these imported products have a miniature sticker with the English translation of the nutritional label. This did not. I was disheartened after each packet from my friend’s selection BUT THEN, I saw @stevenneoh review this just a day or two prior! What a shot of #vegan confidence and security through the ceiling 😂 I’m so lucky to have this app and community 😊
It’s a thicker type of gelatine that’s not too shatter-ish? It’s very reminiscent of the cheap cone jellies you get growing up in Malaysia. Only, this was more fuller and didn’t taste like corners were cut 😂 I say this affectionately, of course… The grape flavour really comes through! I’ve never been impressed by jelly but here I am 👏 The design IS strange. It’s a bottleneck shaped plastic you still need to squeeze because the #jelly is of a firmer viscosity 🧐 Though, I’ll admit it’s weirdly fun to cut it off from the narrow slash 😜 #growingupisoptional
Most Japanese products are eco disasters; this being far from the exception #deathbyplastic 😵
I’m afraid I don’t know the price for this but I’d have a hard time recommending buying it more than once for the sake of the planet 🤫 A mildly unmild treat for the #sweettooth though! 👌
