香饼 Xiang Bing no Him Heang — Avaliação do Steven Neoh (14 de mar. de 2022)

Him Heang is the establishment #bakery in #penang, and anyone with a dissenting opinion is wrong 😛 I was gutted that they were closed for repairs on my previous trip, and now I am whole again ☺️

These are not quite the 香饼 that you get in other parts of the country, and to be honest take a bit of getting used to. I like the #brownsugar filling to be more gooey and less like a paste (4th picture), and I also think these are tiny which affects pastry to filling ratio 🥺

P.S. what's with the wholly unnecessary sheet of loose plastic flapping about in the box (5th picture)? 🙄
