I’ve been wanting to dye my hair again for the longest time but kept postponing cuz of the on again off again restrictions - cuz what’s the point of dyeing my hair if I can’t go out?
But I decided to just go for it one day and had my mom help me bleach the ends of my hair for a dip dye ombré effect (I’m scared to do my whole head cuz my hair is already thin & I didn’t wanna lose more hair 😅 - also I like dyeing the ends more for certain colours like this one)
I bleached my hair once until it was golden brownish and waited a few days before putting the colour. I did a test strip first to see if the green will show and luckily it did so I ended up dyeing without needing to bleach again yayyyy
And It turned out pretty good! (check the last photo for the result! Sorry for the bad quality tho 😅). I wanted a dark forest green and that’s exactly how it turned out 🌲
It does bleed like crazy tho. Especially the first 2 weeks - my hands, nails, neck, headboard of the bed & scalp were all stained green - made me look like I had a disease or smth. The colour faded into a mossy green which I didn’t like that much :/ It did fade pretty fast too maybe about 4-5 weeks before I had to dye it again. The second time it didn’t fade as quickly (maybe because I used it on top on conditioned hair rather than shampooed one? 🤷♀️)
