This is my very first homemade dal / daal / Dahl ( @lol1409 please confirm which is correct 😂) and I'm in love with the result 😍 I know the red lentils are not the usual choice for this dish, but I don't have access to the yellow ones. These are my go to red lentils, they cook quickly and are delicious 😋 It looks like Indian food is my new obsession 🤔😁 #veganin2021 #abillionturns3 #indianfood

I think "dal" is the most popular spelling 😆 People spell it differently here too. Never seen "dahl" here. I see you're a dal-lover, I remember that other one 😹 This looks amazing!! 12/10 plating 🤤 With your new obsession, I'm sure you'll be kept busy (and *stuffed*) for ages 😋
But also, I realise the spelling doesn't matter too much because it's only a translation into English in the written form anyway 😂 Love how these etymology lessons happen at 4 am. It comes from Hindi and/or Sanskrit, I think.
