Very fresh salad that helps cooling down mind, soul and body during Albanian extremely hot summers. Tomatoes are flavorful unlike they ones we are use to buy in Spanish supermarkets… Still is not something very original but is very good and healthy.

I was really excited to find this very popular Albanian dish in a vegan version as the original one is usually make with cheese/yogurt, potato and meat; and trust me that it wasn’t easy. However the flavor was so boring that thanks god I ordered a tomato salad to pair it. It is barely impossible to find vegan food in this country, the good thing is that they eat a pretty big amount of veggies, but commonly prepared in the same way so it can be really challenging not to eat the same things everyday.
