Not unexpectedly, the place was busy on Christmas Eve. If it’s good, they will come! Its offerings (baked goods and sandwiches), both vegan and non-vegan, looked so fresh and enticing. Most of the food offerings was not vegan. But the few that were vegan were equally visually appealing. The vegan baked goods were by the cash register. One that I chose was the Vegan Tahini Cookie. It was a ‘modest’ $3.75 US, a little pricey but surprising considering it’s Garden City. This cookie was so delicious. It must have been made that morning! You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy the delicious and decadent food. I shared it with my sister and niece (neither are vegan) who really enjoyed it. The chocolate coating on approximately half the cookie caught my eye, but so did the short ingredient list (pistachio, chocolate, sesame and sugar). I highly recommend this cookie.
