Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Day, gotta cut them some slack (very chewy rice with unsweetened pumpkin). Ironically, sotong happened to be the side that saved the day 🦑

I was actually eyeing the laksa or chicken rice instead, but by 7.30pm most of the dishes had been sold out. Even the sides had mostly all gone. I had mock chicken, braised mock intestine and turnip. Even though I don't really like mock meat, these were good, not doughy or chemical-tasting at all. Overall the meal was delicious, better than the average economy rice. The sambal in particular was a kicker - so hot and spicy.

The spice level and dishes are not customizable so that’s a downside. Upside is that it’s super delicious and has a variety of mock meats!

Okay taste-wise, absolutely amazing. The herbal soup tastes so clean and is bursting with hearty flavour, super comforting to enjoy on a hot day! It comes with a braised egg by default so get them to omit that and they will top up the tofu. Will buy JUST for the amazing soup. #veganisnotscary

This laksa is absolutely divine. The mock meats aren’t that special— just your regular mock seafood but the star of the show is definitely the gravy. It’s just so rich and creamy and bursting with flavour. Added a bit of their sambal in there and it’s the tastiest laksa I’ve ever had. #veganisnotscary

Overall really satisfying for wanton mee cravings! The dumplings are outstanding; the sauce was pretty good but I found it a little too wet. Char siew is regular mock meat types, still pleasant and adds to the feel of wanton mee. Ask for a little spice and you will get a small kick from their homemade sambal! BYO container for an environmentally-friendly meal.

Good try in replicating the dish. Has a raw fishy taste i think from the konnyaku. not going to order again though. for the price paid, i would rather order the wanton mee or laksa.

Normally, I would find $5.80 for Cai png too expensive, especially for takeaway only, but the taste totally makes up for it. The satay 'mutton' was delish, generous, and fused with fresh lemon grass, herbs and spices. A good basic stir fry cabbage. The sweet and sour 'chicken' was also a delightful edition. Remember to ask for their vegan nasi Lemak sambal. Not the sad sambal they put in a squeeze bottle, but the good stuff they keep at the back! P.s. Sorry for the photo, I assure you it tastes better than it looks!

There were potatoes, carrots and faux meat. Pretty well balanced meal. The curry itself was pretty hearty and didn’t seem to have its flavour compromised!

Curry Mutton (Faux) Rice

The dish consists of mock pork meat, tomatoes, and pineapple and cucumber slices, which are stir fried on the spot with some sweet tomato sauce! The green veggies are not included btw. The chewy texture of the mock pork meat was kind of funny at first (maybe because I’m not used to it) but it got better after a while 🥳 I think they are made out of mushrooms hehe! Overall, not bad but quite costly since it’s $5.80, exclusive of the veggies.
