This is another unique and really good option at Detroit street filling station. This seemingly chicken Patty is actually made from mushrooms. They're're fried, breaded and crispy and somehow still juicy. They're served on soft housemade Hawaiian buns with a really creamy, crunchy, slaw and #vegan yum yum sauce. It also comes with a side a bread-and-butter pickles. It's usually served with Potato Chips, but you can upgrade to a salad as well. This had loads of flavor and was it actually really really cool option. I really like the option of having #Mushroom instead of fuax meats and it is actually good for people with allergies as well. There's a lot of people who say they want to be vegan, but they can't eat a lot of soy or gluten, so mushrooms make a really good alternative. This was definitely really creative, and had a lot of flavor. The mushroom had some cajun- like spice. Everything at Detroit Street seems really pretty reasonably priced. I LOVE Detriot Street. If I lived in Ann Arbor, I would be there at least once a week. Their menu is so large. I didn't know you could get their salads as wraps! This wrap came with baby greens, cabbage, grilled #tofu seasoned corn tortilla crumbles, pico de gallo & #avocado with housemade #cashew nacho cheese & chipotle ranch dressing. The salad is #glutenfree and they can make it nut-free without cashew nacho cheese. They are very accommodating to allergies. This also came with your choice of side, salad (for $3 upcharge ) or chips. This was $16 total which is a good value considering its size and quality ingredients. High quality, tasty, and fresh #wrap. Grilled #tempeh, melted provolone-style cheese, shredded cabbage, pickled carrot-radish, tomato, grilled red onion, guacamole & garlic mayo on a tortilla. The flavors mixed well together and it was a great mix of moist but not soggy. Cheese melted well. Came with a side too - chips or a bit extra for salad, soup, chili, or tots. This was a delicious slice of cake! Detriot Street Filling Station has it all. Great appetizers, salads, wraps, entrées, drinks, and desserts. You name it. Definitely make sure to check out what they have each day because the desserts change. Last month we brought home a huge box of cookies and they were delicious! This vanilla cake slice was dense but moist and super sweet. It has great vanilla flavor and the rainbow sprinkles were super cute. I also really liked the #vegan buttercream frosting. 10/10. Yum yum yum! So the best thing about eating with vegan friends is having a table full of #vegan food and splitting.🤣 Sharing is caring. I picked this to order because I also wanted something that was cold. It was so hot outside, and I made my friends sit on the patio so I could get better photos. Haha. Sorry, guys. This was really good. It had marinated baked #tofu, pickled carrots and radish, jalapeños, fresh cilantro, and garlic mayo. The bread is delicious and made in house. I think we all upgraded and ordered salads to have. This sandwich tasted very fresh and was good combination of tangy and smokey. With the salad this was $15, which is a good price and #value. This is one of Detriot Streets' most popular wrap. Maybe that's why it's the World's greatest? It has tempeh, #dairyfree provone style cheese, cabbage, pickled carrots, tomatoes, grilled red onions, guacamole and house garlic mayo. We actually got this wrap for my dad last time we were here, but by time we got it home it looked horrible. I completely forgot to get a photo before we left.🫣 My dad also gave it an A+ This wrap is large in size and also comes with a side and you can upgrade to a side salad for $3. I had been eyeing these on their menu since I went in May, and they were delicious! I highly recommend ordering these with your meal. They come in two sizes, and this is the larger size with 8 pieces (fingers), which I believe is a great value at $14. I wasn't expecting the tofu fingers to be so big either, which was an awesome surprise. They come with two dressings: Maple Dijon and Southwest Ranch, both of which made the perfect side. The #tofu fingers themselves are deep-fried with a crunchy exterior, but the inside is soft and juicy. I really liked these and would definitely order them again if I didn't always have to try something new for abillion. Ha ha! Overall, they had great flavor, and I really loved the dressings. I especially like their Southwest Ranch dressing, which I enjoyed on a salad a couple of weeks ago. It was nice to have it again. Detriot Street Filling Station has a great drink menu as well as their food menu. They have coffees, teas, beer, cocktails, and mocktails. Perfect for sitting on the patio. 🌞 The Iced Lavendar London Fog is really creamy, refreshing, and has a nice flavor. One glass is a bit expensive at $6, but I do like how they pride themselves on paying employees a livable wage, so Im okay paying a little bit more. This salad was #delicious 🥗 I think I preferred this one over the Southwest Salad. My mom and I split so we could try different bowls. Decisions are hard. This bowl was a bit on the lighter side, as is a base of spring mix. It was loaded with fresh veggies like red bell pepper, onion cucumber, tomato, and my favorite kalamata olives. It also had a generous serving of #guacamole and sliced #tofu. It does come with walnuts, but I asked for those to be left off. It comes with a side of balsamic vinegarette. This was another huge portion for $13, which is a great price and #value. The veggies were super fresh and crunchy and so vibrant. I love how this restaurant has a great balance of healthy and comfort food. This delicious plant-powered salad was incredibly delicious! The bowl itself was HUGE. This was a large serving size and a really good price and #value at $12. Though it's called a salad, I'd say it's mostly a rice bowl dish. It has shredded cabbage, Cuban black beans, cumin-lime rice, corn, avocado, pico de gallo, and tortilla chips with a side of house made #nutfree chipotle ranch. This bowl is also #glutenfree My favorite thing about this dish was probably the Cuban black beans and guacamole. They both had so much flavor and the house pico was delicious! The tortilla chips added a nice crunch as well. Next time I want to try their taco salad, which is similar but with nacho cheeze! This entire restaurant is #vegan and #womenowned. It's such a great community atmosphere. The staff celebrates each other on social media and their achievements including sobriety etc. They give people livable wages and second chances.
