Koufu has been enhancing its efforts to preserve the unique Singaporean coffee shop culture amidst the challenges and rapid changes in our local food and beverage industry. We have managed to transform our organisation through a three-pronged strategy to ensure the “quality”, “service” and “environment” factors are covered. Through this effective strategy we managed to create breakthroughs by integrating modern food court and coffee shop management style and contemporary designs.

#foodcourt reopening act of claustrophobia at Punggol Central akin to the same problem at Compass1 Kopitiam after a makeover; Singapore being one of the most densely populated countries in the world 👉 average population density globally is a 62 (per sq km). It stands at 8430 over here (humans added to one of my allergies since the 90s) Yeap, its all about the economy or nothing 👉 $6.50 for a bunch of fresh #lettuce + #spinach and vibrant cubes of #pumpkin with a topup of 90c for a spoonful of #redkidneybeans (can be softer!) beneath choice of dressing. Vegan ones include fatfree vinaigrette or plain #oliveoil. Can foresee droves of SIT undergraduates flocking the area once coastal MRT is up 🤔 #salad #eatyourgreens #alliumfree

Toasted to a crisp (if you're prepared to wait 6 mins for the order) and veganized sans dressing and sambal 😔 at $1.80 per square with a minimum order of 3; going hungry would have been more of a mistake than the outlay 😅 Basically a ball of salad in the form of fried #tofupuff stuffed with crunchy and refreshing #cucumbers + #beansprouts. This is bout as natural as it gets to the extent that the entire setup came out tasteless, not even salt but I'm not complaining. Just glad there's something to keep the tummy from barking at 8pm #snack #soy #alliumfree

$3.50 for peanut/coconut options. $4 for plain/chocolate options. I was quite surprised plain is actually more expensive but I guess that means the white powder is actually a more premium/expensive ingredient? 😮 Thought the coconut would gna be quite sweet, but turns out it felt less so than the Peanut. And coconut filling which was more moist made it a better filling for the dry-er less fluffy white kueh. I would say opt for coconut if you don’t mind the coconut flavour & trying tutu kuehs for the first time too 😋 #veganisnotscary

$3.50 for 5 tutu kuehs - a choice of Peanut / Coconut. The aunty allows you a mix in a box! This was one of the options from their lineup of traditional Pasar Malam-like snacks at the food court! Literally my very first time eating a tutu kueh and I’m surprised by the texture - the white skin is kinda like a Bao but not so fluffy. Instead, it’s a denser more compact thinner layer of pastry skin with a more intricate design pattern on top. The peanut filling had crunchy bits and sweet but choosing this filling might not be the best option bc overall it could get a bit dry! It is freshly made/steamed so you get to watch it being made! Quite fascinating to see the fine ground powder/flour packed tgt and being turned into a homogenous pastry-like skin so quickly by steaming! I kinda understand why freshly made because the kueh texture can get dry/stiff quite quick? Ofc that only happened toward the last pieces for me bc I dined-in. Which does make me wonder if people who takeaway the tutu kuehs re-steam their ones at home 🤔 But otherwise it was hot holding it with fingers to eat haha, but also pretty soft and yummy☺️ #veganisnotscary

An oily panfried indulgence. Located near the food court entrance and immediately caught my eye from the start, especially when it was being panfried fresh!! It is one of those Pasar Malam traditional local snacks which honestly cannot be found as easily nowadays because no more Pasar Malam sessions in sg… 😢 Nice Pandan coconut-y flavour that is not too sweet - I liked! & also quite missed eating this. Crisp outer edges/surface and generous batter in a single pancake so it is quite thick and chewy! Some places I bought from used to spread the kueh so thin till it become pathetically floppy!! $1.50 for 2. They also sell in 5s, but cos I waited to buy till after finished my dinner, there was only 2 left, but thank goodness there still was some left!! The food court itself is styled reminiscent to the Malaysia boleh Food courts and offer quite a range of interesting popular option. Definitely worth going to #veganisnotscary
