五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 9 - Caramelized Cheese Banana Roll A really unique and original dish that probably only can be tasted in this restaurant, as I never had anything like it before. The sweetness and fruity flavor from the banana, together with the caramelized flavor and the saltiness from the melted vegan cheese is something I never tasted before, like a symphony of flavors for the tastebuds in my mouth!

五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 8 - Seaweed "Scallop" with Perilla Leaf The "scallop" is tender, chewy and flavorful! It's made from king oyster mushroom that had been slightly carved with knife 30 times on each side, making it 120 times for a single piece of "scallop". It is then pan-fried which gives it a really nice and fragrant aromatic and flavor that's almost identical to a real scallop. The perilla leaf also gives it a really nice and fragrant flavor that really enriches the overall dish as a whole! So amazingly tasty!

五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 7 - Smoked Mentaiko Mentaiko is super creamy and flavorful. The base is basically potato which was roasted I think. Love the subtle aromatic and fragrance from the Lemmon's Marigold on top, which gives the overall taste a little bit of lightness.

五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 6 - Romaine Lettuce w "Sea Urchin" & "Salmon Roe" The "sea urchin" is made up of mashed pumpkin that's infused with rich flavor that probably comes from their seaweed broth. The "salmon roe" is exactly like the real thing, which literally burst with umami flavor in your mouth when bitten. The sushi rice in the middle gives this dish some density, while the lettuce lightens and freshens the overall taste with an added crunchiness. I really enjoy this one a lot, as I feel that all the elements complement so well with each other as a whole!

There are also fragrance from herbs such as rosemary, thyme and etc. Really rich and layered with so many flavors that blend into a harmonious delight for the tastebuds!

五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 4 - Fried Oyster Sushi The fried oyster is made from 白靈菇 that were specially prepared to replicate the flavor and texture of oyster, which is almost identical to the real deal! Juicy, tender and bursting with rich umami flavor. So so good!
