Tamale Beefy Roja

This tamal was a bit small and didn’t look like the picture but it was still tasty. The masa was ever so slightly sweet though.

These are surprisingly good. I just didn’t think they could mass produce and freeze tamales without sacrificing flavor like home made tamales. #uplandspeak

This was okay. The ratio of filling to masa was not great. The filing was one note, no differentiation between the ingredients. It was supposedly stuffed with beef style crumbles, dairy free mozzarella, grilled red peppers and onions with roasted Chipotle salsa. It basically was a brown mush. I was able to eat it coated in taco sauce. Would not buy again.

Honestly I had pretty low hopes for a pre-made, frozen, vegan tamale but this was actually pretty delicious!
