Have been buying these for a while, but noticed they have a new and improved version. They are SO much better. So much plant based cheese is a disappointment, but this really felt and tasted and looked different.

I think the price was around $5 (on sale, which I thought was high). Obviously, the regular price is even higher (at least $5.99). Anyways, I was craving cheese slices, so the timing was good. I missed putting a slice of (plant-based / vegan) cheese in a sandwich, on a burger or with a hotdog. It had been a long time! Just like another type of Violife cheese slices I recently bought, this cheese also melts very nicely, but I unfortunately had forgotten to t asked a photo. Please refer to the last photo. As for the taste, it nicely mimics its dairy equivalent. It’s definitely delicious and adds to taste and texture of sandwiches. There isn’t anything nutritious about this cheese; there’s no protein, calcium, iron, fibre, etc. It is high in saturated fat. I would get this again, but probably not very often because of its lack of value and nutrition.
I bought these slices to go on top of the Gardein Sûpreme Chick’n patties, hoping they’d melt nicely for homemade chicken sandwiches that my omni partner would enjoy. I put these on during the final stages of air frying and they melted beautifully (check out the last pic). I would pick these up again if trying to replicate real cheese for a BBQ or convincing omnis to try more vegan options!
