Chickpea Milk - Unsweetened Original

This milk went wonderful for my high tea which I enjoyed with some maple butter + toast which was also vegan and organic. I had gotten from a discount store which made it upcycled and as well as it has an easily recyclable carton. I also loved the taste of it and the health benefits which it has I give it four out of five stars 🤩

Unfortunately I didn’t like this chickpea milk. It had a sweet taste resembling vanilla which I didn’t like. (Probably due to the monk fruit sweetener and the natural flavors) I tried pouring it in a bowl of cereal but I really didn’t like it at all. I was pretty intrigued by this #chickpeas-based #mylk after seeing several reviews from @berryveganplanet. When I spotted it at Grocery Outlet (#groceryoutletfinds) for just $0.99, I had to try it! #ditchdairy While this stuff doesn’t taste like #garbanzos, it does have a slightly earthier flavor than the clean, neutral-tasting soy milk that I default to. I was also surprised to find that it’s a little sweet, even being unsweetened/#noaddedsugar — perhaps due to the monk fruit juice? Although the taste wasn’t my favorite, it has an undeniably high amount of #protein and #vitaminb12. It’s fine in coffee, I just wouldn’t advocate drinking it plain — it’s a bit much. It seems we can milk almost any plant these days, and I love to see yet another new option hit the market. Aside from pea milk, I can’t think of another high-protein, #soyfree option, so chickpeas are a welcome addition to the club!

i really enjoyed this milk—it’s smooth, fairly creamy, and high in protein per serving size! the taste was alright, i enjoy soy milk more but this is better than almond or oat to me, especially for a plain milk. it definitely doesn’t taste like actual chickpeas to me, so that’s already a win. i had this with my cereal and i found it as enjoyable. i’m not sure if id drink this plain, but it was good with cereal and i’d imagine it would be useful in savory cooking as well. i got it on sale for about 5 bucks. the price isn’t bad for 4 servings, but i feel like there are more affordable milks out there. i dont mind paying a little bit more for the extra protein either—this is the highest protein per serving of alternative milk i’ve found. #veganmilk #chickpeas #chickpeamilk #milk #plantmilk

What an interesting find! Somehow the taste has a cinnamon-ish feeling, and it went great with my toddler.
