The excitement of having a scotch pie after years! I'm over the moon to see

brands that are veganiz-ing their staples. This pie was exactly what I remembered and it's probably the most similar vegan alternative that I ever tried! Sorry beyond meat. The pastry was crunchy and the filling so soft and flavourful, love it!

Sooooooo nice to have a Scottish Classic made vegan.

Tastes really similar to a normal

scotch pie (as I remember it). Great texture, flaky pastry, cheap. Cravings officially satisfied 👍🏼

I was very curious to try these out, just cause I’ve never had Scotch Pies

before (so I can’t compare them with the original ones unfortunately).

They come for only £1.50 and I found them at Sainsbury’s.
Taste is not great for me as it’s very pork-like, as well as its texture. Overall, it’s very peppery! The shortcrust pastry is nice and crunchy though. The pie is very compact and I was able to cut through it without breaking it apart.

Honestly, I’m not going to buy it again, it’s too meaty for me. But it could be a good alternative for those vegans who miss their traditional pies I guess.

Amazing, I loved these! I never ate scotch pies much as they were too greasy

and you always got a weird, hard bit of gristle in them which was truly gross 🤢 but the vegan version is well seasoned and flavourful without the greasyness and questionable meat filling.
Glad that I can enjoy a Scottish classic again without harming any animals. I wish they'd start selling these at the football, I bet hardly anyone could even tell the difference.
