⚡️⚡️LIDL'S RESPONSE TO AN EVER SHRINKING SELECTION OF VEGAN PRODUCTS⚡️⚡️ Last week I sent an exasperated email to Lidl with three points that I've seen in the last three months in their Fuerteventura store (Canary Islands):
1. Holiday sweets selection: the 2024 holiday sweets selection was a disaster for vegans. Diary ingredients were inserted in many products that previously had none. (Truffles, turrones, a Spanish tradition, and bonbons similar to Lindt chocolates for example). 2. There was NO Veganuary selection this January. What?????? 3. A few weeks ago, the vegan frozen items disappeared. No ice creams, burger patties, chickn patties, etc. No more vegan items other than those obvious ones of frozen veg.
This in addition to the Spanish tortilla and cheeze slices that disappeared months ago, etc. Etc.
How is Lidl doing in your neck of the woods? If you have noticed the same, take a moment to drop them a note about your concerns. As we raise more voices, more change is possible! Below is the link for Lidl Spain customer service, you can look up Lidl in your own country and add your feedback.

unejanie it is so frustrating to get a dismissive response like that. i went to lidl in oxford in january and they had the tortilla but had trouble finding other vegan items. am not near a lidl right now but might take a trip to check it out. i have always appreciated their wide selection of vegan items, especially when i am visiting areas that aren't very vegan-friendly.3 likesReply
danielgl I'm sure it is a standard response, but getting the word out is important. I'll be interested to see what you find out on your trip to Lidl. I once heard that if three customers made the same complaint at a supermarket, that was the level for the management to take note. So the more people that send emails, the better!4 likesReply
unejanie I agree. i have received a lot of replies like that and always how they at least keep a tally. if enough people speak up, they might change. it is supposed to rain today but i will try to go this week.2 likesReply
