It’s heading into spooky 👻 season , so it’s time for some fun dishes! This one is simple. All you need is a ghost shaped cookie cutter, some tofu and a simple sauce.
In case you are worried about the excess tofu that I cut away, I used it to make some chocolate 🍫 mousse. No waste here
🌱Spooky 👻 Tofu with spicy hot sesame oil🌱
1 block (16 ounces) firm silken tofu
2 stalks green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
1 teaspoons black garlic (dried)
1 tablespoon red chili flakes
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Optional:
Cooked white rice
Carefully remove the tofu from the package
Slice crosswise into about 4 slices
Cut into ghost shapes and place on a platter. Add a few back sesame seeds to each one for eyes 👁️
In a small bowl, add the green onions, garlic, sesame seeds, pepper flakes, vinegar and coconut aminos
Carefully heat the sesame oil in the stove in a small pan over medium flame. Pour the hot oil over the mixture. Stir
Pour the sauce onto the plate with the tofu
I served this with some white rice on the side
