Vegan Pad Thai

If craving vegan Asian noodles, this is an excellent choice. I posted two pics, which were only a day apart, one eat-in and one carryout, to show that the food isn’t always consistent in appearance, but it is consistently good! Though the carryout was a little more red in color, the flavor was the same and very good in both and they have very generous, filling portion sizes! This is one of 6-7 rice bowls they offer with the opportunity for all but one to be made vegan. This dish is now called Fried Tofu Phad Thai Noodles and the price increase took it to $10.99, but still a great price for the portion size! When ordering online, you can select vegan sauce and no egg. The cafe is large w plenty of seating and no frills, more like a large cafe and atmosphere and has a more private quiet eating area attached to the main room/dining area. It’s always clean w a pleasant staff and the owner is often there - nicest guy. The cafe has western facing windows w numerous plants, so well-lit in late afternoon and evening. The cafe isn’t all vegan, but has many vegan options, like the variety of rice bowls, as well as sushi, and also has build your own salads with plenty of fresh ingredients and several vegan dressings, like sweet Thai chili. They used to have the best vegan Thai Peanut dressing but apparently a customer w a peanut allergy kept complaining it was in the same case w the salad ingredients and other dressings, so they got rid of it. It was several years ago, so hope they bring it back. Parking can sometimes be an issue, due to the popularity of other businesses in the strip, including Virtue Vegan Salon and a popular retailer/unique gift shop, called Tigertree, but there is a small lot across the street to the north w designated spaces for Cornerstone customers. Overall, this is a great spot w lots of variety! Did I mention they also have French fries, again a good-sized portion, for just $1.99! :) Enjoy!

Cornerstone is great at accommodating the vegan crowd. This is ordered off their regular pad Thai but you can ask for/select vegan sauce and no egg for a great meal. It is a nice portion size and they really have such reasonable pricing for their menu. Just wish I lived back in clintonville and was a close neighbor again. #veganisnotscary

Cornerstone Cafe has a lot of #vegan friendly dishes to choose from. Their Pad Thai can also be made vegan, like their other tofu bowls. I really liked this and love noodles. It had a good peanut flavor with the traditional Pad Thai seasonings. It also wasn't too #spicy which is always a plus for me. The #tofu in the dish was also very good. Cornerstone always has excellent tofu! #abillionlove
