Goodness, the most convincing and satisfying reconstruction that I've ever sampled of the taste of lightly-charred #chicken skin. The use of #hericium #mushroom here is pure genius; the rump of the mushroom (when grilled long enough) approximates to the texture of chicken meat, while the stringy ends can be made to crisp up like skin 😋😋🥰🥰😌😌
They also nailed the marinade, the flavour of the #rice, the soy-based sauce, and the #chilli paste/sauce thing which is indispensable to a good #chickenrice dish 🙌 Throw in thoughtful labelling/packaging (recycled plastic + paper), a reasonable price point (RM22 iirc), and a side of burned onion slices, and you have a winner 💪
