Pesto Gnocchi

I just love gnocchi so much and these were freshly made and so amazing 🤌🏻🤌🏻 I do remember being a bit disappointed with the small portion size though #vegancapetown #capetown #southafrica #vegantravel #vegan #gnocchi #pastalover

I really wanted to love this. I adore gnocchi and don’t think I’ve ever had a bad one but this was just quite stodgy and the pesto was a bit lackluster. It would have been nice to have sundried tomatoes or even plain cherry tomatoes as the menu said it would come with (when I asked why there werent any the servers seemed confused and I just left it)I think the acidity would have brought a bit more complexity to the meal.

I was so excited to eat this that I forgot to take a photo until it was almost too late. The flavours were incredible. The greens balance the gnocchi beautifully. Highly recommend 👌

I'm not generally a fan of gnocchi but thought I'd give this a try 😊 found it too be quite dry and lacked flavour. I'm also not the biggest lover of excessive amounts of rocket but I guess that can be easily omitted. This meal basically just had a tiny amount of pesto over a large amount of gnocchi, with a few pieces of cherry tomato and crazy amounts of rocket. Not something I would order again.
