I LOVE that Crystal Jade has a new vegan friendly menu! I haven’t eaten xiao long bao in years since I stopped eating meat so I was really excited to try this dish! Taste wise I enjoyed it a lot, although it doesn’t really taste like their original xiao long bao at all, I still really like it. I especially enjoy the carrot slice on the bottom of the dumplings. The one thing that’s definitely lacking is there’s not enough soup inside and so you don’t get that warm burst like with the original.
