We were meeting friends on the Southbank in London and chose Wahaca. It’s a Mexican cantina constructed from shipping containers painted in rich colour.
They have a separate menu dedicated to vegan food. ✔️
This small plate of tostada covered in #beetroot laid on a bed of #horseradish #avocadocream and salsa macha was zesty, spicy and tasty. Of course you’ve gotta love your beets for this one.
We all enjoyed our selection of dishes.

The only snag was that the food is served in no particular order. That’s fine but the timing went right out and one of our group was left with no food while we all munched ours. She waited 10 minutes before any of hers arrived. I think that gap should be closed.
The staff are really friendly on the whole and it has a vibrant atmosphere with a good view of the River Thames.
