Mala tastes amazing but a little oily. But many varieties of veggies to choose from
Their 小辣(low spice level) is spicyyy but they have an assortment of veggies you don't normally find at mala places like tang oh and the cauliflower with more separated florets #veganuary #veganisnotscary
Mala with medium spice level (中辣). The spicy heat is there, but the texture is a solid 4/10. The noodles broke apart the moment I lifted them with my chopsticks. Same for the potato slices; they’re supposed to be crunchy and soft at the same time as they should have been sliced thinly and stir-fried with the other ingredients for that unique texture, but I guess they deep-fried it instead as it’s got the texture of French fries 🤔 #malaxiangguo
A wide variety of ingredients to choose from and one of my favourite place for Mala Xiang Guo. Yum 😋 yum.
This was one of the few veg restaurants still open at Fortune Centre by the time I came at almost 9 pm (last order at 9.45 pm). I got this again as I enjoyed it so much the last time. Beancurd strips and tempeh are must-haves in Mala imo. So tasty and chewy. The fried round thing dunno what's inside is super delicious. I ended up with a lot of fried stuff and this is spicy and oily lol so definitely not a healthy meal. Had broccoli, king oyster mushroom and potato as my veggie which went very nicely. I love the addition of peanuts with the Mala chilli. Came up to $11.70 though I had tried to be modest with my dishes - quite expensive after all. I wanna try other dishes from here next time.
