
I must admit - I was slightly put off by the sound of “ham” on the sushi rolls but omg this was YUM!!! So many rolls on one platter - and they’re pretty chonky! Loved this 😋
Korean-inspired seaweed rice roll filled with carrot, cucumber, and yellow pickled radish 🍙🥕🥒 further topped with a thick slab of textured soy protein 'ham' / 'spam' and heavily doused in vegan mayonnaise with sesame seeds. Think it would have been cute to add in some turmeric tofu or OnlyEg 'gyeran mari rolled omelette' to resemble traditional kimbab more closely! 🍳 Personally didn't find the soy sauce dip necessary, as the dish was already quite savoury and flavourful on its own. First time trying this dish,I usually have d same things when im here. I seldom order #kimbap,i jus find it boring when dining alone. Taste is allrite, thrs a big slice of the soy ham on the roll,the usual suspects of cucumber n carrot n lots of #veganmayo over it and some sweet soy sauce for flavour. I just found it a bit too dry,feels like they kept the rice n ham n microwave it,thts d feeling i get. But im not sure.
