
Among the many dishes I haven’t eaten since going #vegan, you can add #chicken #karaage to the list 😛 I’m just lucky I have @dafnelately to read my mind every time we’re deciding on new orders 😂 especially those #forthedollar ☺️ If this looks a little dry from the photo, it’s because it was 😅 but only ever so slightly 🤌 That was just the outside though… the inside, was still well within the range of moisture you’d want in this #vegankaraage 🤤 The bite was #crispy and then, reaaallll bouncy 😆 and therefore, a little chewier than the omnivorous variant. It still delivered when it came to flavour though! I don’t really know what it is but this simple #japanese #deepfried seasoning 😋 I wouldn’t call it as multi-dimensional as something like curry but not a basic 1-dimensional flavour either 🤓 perhaps a 2-dimensional flavour profile! RM13 for this size to represent our #nondairy #protein for the table? Perhaps a tad pricey but it is quality ☝️! For a #vegetarianrestaurant of this calibre, can’t they just #govegan already 😏 Help me out with poking this place, yeah!?
If #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease then this my darling was a nightmare 🥱 Who orders #friedchicken to have something #toohealthy? There was far too little grease so the breading came off pretty dry as a result. Remind me to get myself an #airfryer when I move out of my current apartment so I can cook some real #veganchicken 🐣
Not overwhelmingly good, but it tastes okay. The sweet and sour sauce was not bad. Can taste it's made from soy meat, so wouldn't recommend ordering this dish for someone who's a meat lover.
