To everyone who is celebrating, #EidMubarak /Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 🌙🎉🟢💚 I grew up in a Muslim-majority society, and to this day my mind is still blown by the sheer discipline and devotion required to perform daily fasting for an entire month. I can't go 2 hours without nibbling on something, and will never understand how people manage the religious fast. Even if there may be a heatwave like what we've been having. Even if you have your daily life to live. Even if there's a war at your doorstep (#fromtherivertothesea 🙏) Just massive respect
The upshot of all this is everyone gets magnificent, splendorous #iftar feasts at sundown, including those who don't have to fast 🤪 And if you want to put on weight, then Lisette's #buffet is a pretty good place to come and do it 😛 There's an ample selection, of which maybe 20% is meat and another 30% lacto-ovo vegetarian. That still leaves you with enough to stuff your face a few times over. I still have the taste of the #beetroot #hummus and the #sayurlodeh in my mouth this morning 🤤🤤 The best of #malaysianeats and levantine cuisine coming together, for RM65++ a head. Doesn't get much better, does it 😉
