The Wild Hare gives you the option to sub in a caulafel patty on any of their burgers. I was thinking about getting the Mediterranean bowl, but when I saw this Mediterranean-type flavored burger, I thought I'd try it out. I don't think they have any vegan cheese at this restaurant, but all of their aiolis are vegan by default! Because of this, I really think this is the only burger I'd veganize. The other ones rely on bacon or a special cheese for flavor. This burger has basil-pesto aioli, cucumber, tomato, and arugula. I really enjoy all the different aiolis they have here. They're great for dipping fries/onion rings, but they're also great on their main dishes like burgers and bowls. This burger had a nice fresh summertime flavor. The caulafel patty was a unique option. It was very crispy on the outside like falafel. I do appreciate that it is cut with cauliflower. A falafel that big would be too much! It did fall apart quite a bit, but I think as vegans were used to that with our burgers, right?
