Grilled 'Sirloin' Steak

We often visit this restaurant and it never disappoints, this meal was tasty, healthy and filling. The mash was smooth and creamy and the joux delicious.

It's a vegan restaurant and it's a nice place. However, without meaning to offend any Bournemouth vegans, as there are lots of other awesome vegan places to eat in Bournemouth, it is a rip off to be honest! This dish obviously *looks* nice, and it tasted quite nice but not great, and it's only a small portion, but cost £17. I thought it would be much nicer and bigger at that price, so I wouldn't waste my money on it again. Not only that, but the waiter tried to sneakily rip me off a bit more too - when he took my order, he said "with chips?", so I thought I hadn't read the menu properly and that it said with either chips or salad, or something, but no - he wanted to grab another £4 off me, as chips are not included in the price, but on the sides menu for £4. I nearly said yes, before I realised, so I'm glad I didn't! That sneakiness is probably part of their business model, but I think it's a terrible idea, because they're only gonna get slated in reviews online, like this one! #veganisnotscary

Sounds funny, but the burnt onion pureé for this dish just absolutely made it - they are SO good with their flavours! This steak was very tasty, not the texture I was expecting, rather soft. All beautifully presented, extremely delicious and a lovely dining experience, as always.
