Goma cake

Black sesame taste is not too overpowering. I would like it more if it had a stronger black sesame taste!

For $9, the slice is rather small. However, the goma taste is really profound and nutty. You can tell that they used a lot of black sesame. The texture of the cake is of the dense type.

Finally got to try this! I have been waiting for their launch of their vegan version of goma cake for ages. This cake totally didnt disappoint. Yes, it is a bit drier than the ones containing eggs and dairy but it is legit. The intensity of black sesame was string and even got a thumb of approval for my sister who is a major fan of black sesame. I think this would pair well with nomvnom's black sesame ice cream :P

I don’t opt for black sesame enough in life and everytime I eat anything black sesame based, I always wonder why it’s not my go to flavour because everything black sesame I’ve tried in life has always been a win 😍 This cake is no exception to that! I bought a variety of desserts including 3 cakes and this one was my favourite of all 3 slices. Mmmmmm just thinking about the goma makes me happy! The cake was sweet but nothing overly so, rich in sesame, fluffy, soft, creamy, and spongey, and very well layered. It’s gorgeous! If you try any cake from Hvala Craig Road, I truly recommend opting for this one first! It was my housemate @raffymabanag’s favourite of all the cakes too!

This is my favorite from all the cakes I've tried from Hvala. You can taste the black sesame at first bite. I can probably eat two portion of this cake since it is just so decadent and not very sweet. It also has a great, moist texture.
