Combination Plate #1

Some of the best simple vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had! So flavorful and filling, with a great assortment of dishes. Huge menu! I got one of the combo plates with tamales, enchiladas, rice and beans, and a salad. The only thing I didn’t love about the plate was that the cheeze on the beans wasn’t melted. I’m generally not a fan of uncooked cheeze shreds. 🫔 There were a couple odd things at the restaurant. 1) They give you plastic utensils, even if you’re eating in. 2) They had a horse race on TV! Wtf? It was a sports channel, so it’s possible something else was on before, or they didn’t realize, but I’d never expect that in a vegan restaurant… All in all, great spot! Must visit if you’re near Monterey. #glutenfree #mexican

While the menu here is huge and quite overwhelming, rest assured knowing you can’t go wrong with anything you pick. Portions are massive, the dishes are spicy, and everything feels very authentic. Pair it with one of their agua frescas and you’ll be happy, although very, very full. #saveveganrestaurants
