This melts so well!! 🙌 So of course I rendered it into several servings of
#macandcheese 🧀 The trick is to combine it with the #pasta water just as you would with dairy cheese 🐮 On a pan or in a microwave, use a lid and allow it to steam to melt properly - my tip for #cheesethatmelts 😉 This does in fact have a very mature #cheddar smell but the taste is actually not too strong at all. I find myself already accustomed to the “artificial” flavour of #vegancheese, really it’s just the oils they use, but if not this one has it a little more prevalent than usual. Are you a #coconutlover? 😬 Cause I do taste it! A little #nutritionalyeast is enough to mask it though, plus adds even more amazing #cheese flavour! Still eating dairy? Sis, embarrassing 💀💀
If I had to pick my favourite Violife cheese, it would be this one! I
tried it two Christmases ago and was no longer able to find it, assuming it was a Christmas special. I know you can find it all year round elsewhere, but here where I live it seems you can only find it over Christmas!
I like its rich, mature flavour, so much better than the regular cheddar block. It reminds me of Gouda or such. I like to enjoy if with a nice crunchy piece of sourdough bread, accompanied by black olive tapenade and sundried tomatoes. Thumb up!

Tesco points. I would say it smells a lot like mature cheddar cheese but somehow the flavour is mild despite this.
