Okay hear me out- sauerkraut. Growing up sauerkraut was always deemed the weird and smelly topping that grown ups put on their brats so I had convinced myself that it was gross and no one could convince me differently. Luckily taste buds change and I discovered this brand of sauerkraut. I love it on bagels (like here- an everything bagel with avocado, homemade pesto, grilled mushrooms, and sauerkraut), sandwiches, salads, really anything. It adds just a hint of salt and brine that cuts the richness out of the foods that I enjoy and really elevates the dish as a whole. The only ingredients in this are cabbage, salt, and water. WHAT!! I’ve tried so many times at home since to make sauerkraut and literally nothing comes close to this brand. They carry all kinds of sauerkraut, pickles, and other fermented and brined foods, so you should definitely check them out in a grocery store near you. (Note: I live in California and can find this many places, but as it is a local brand, I’m not sure how far their products reach). #veganin2020 27/30
