Something we rarely hear about and worth considering when we think about how much coconuts are used to make a lot of the products we love.

fulfilling Thank you for bringing this to our awareness. I didn’t know of this & went to research more on this. Are there any coconut products that you know of that are not pluck by monkeys 🙈? 4 likesReply
animaladvocat https://naturalfrenchsoap.com/blogs/soapedia/did-a-monkey-pick-your-coconuts-the-myths-and-truths research, email companies, there isn’t any global listing of products as far as I know but most likely products that contain coconut oil from Thailand (picking with Animal abuse has a long tradition there) . Where did you research it I may ask? 2 likesReply
fulfilling I just googled & read article-hoping to see whether there is any direction pointed to coconuts not plucked by monkeys. But, no. At least I am awared now. 2 likesReply
animaladvocat Sometimes the search word combination we use isn’t helping to find proper results, it happens to me too. The minimum you should have found is that it’s mostly Coconut oil from Thailand, this is commonly known. Just ask companies who produce products you use or google the products you want to buy to actively support ending this animal abuse & torture.
I prefer to email companies. Coconut oil is very much discussed lately, they will either answer or change the oil they use. 🫶 all the best for you 🌸💟☮️🐾🌱2 likesReply
lil-chickpea PETA has a list https://www.peta.org/living/food/coconut-brands-no-forced-monkey-labor/ for coconut milk, and Nutiva is a cruelty free coconut oil brand, but I don’t know if these brands are available in other countries. 5 likesReply

gingersaint This is why I buy only certified ethic and cruelty free virgin coconut oil that use for both body and cooking.
My only concern is about coconut oil we find as an ingredient in many industrial products we buy, especially cheap ones (myself first) and this can be a thorny issue because not everyone has the same wallet.
I’ve personally increased my homemade production.8 likesReply
