Very nice looking restaurant and a spectacular looking dish but for us it was #nightmaresaremadeofgrease
We completely misinterpreted the description which read ‘fritto misto - artichoke, tenderstem broccoli, courgette, broad beans, lemon mayonnaise’.
We imagined a fabulous plate of greens lightly fried. Instead this sculpture of batter arrived! Very artistic, but a few mouthfuls in and we were done. There was hardly a trace of vegetable as they were so thinly cut and deep fried. Very much a sharing dish, but not for two people. I’d say four people, otherwise it’s fat overload.

Other abillion members have reviewed #mallow and it’s been on my list to visit. Although we chose the wrong dish for us, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. It’s located on the edge of Borough Market right opposite Southwark Cathedral and close to the river Thames. A very interesting place to hang out.
And it’s great to have a thriving vegan restaurant where you’re able to order any item on the menu.
