If I were blindfolded, I would have thought that actual vanilla beans were used, because the vanilla taste is very prominent, but it’s just vanilla extract and no black speckles that you would see if vanilla beans were used. The ice cream is really good, so smooth and creamy. I didn’t even have to wait for it to thaw. There’s probably a lot of coconut oil, hence why it’s #highinsaturatedfat The crunchy chocolatey coating and topping add a nice contrast. I’m not crazy about the cone itself, though. It’s not as crunchy as I would prefer an ice cream cone to be. It’s more like a chewy, actual waffle, except thin and dry. I generally like Jolly Llama though and stock up when they go on sale, and I don’t recall the other cones being like this. I will need to pay attention next time. Hopefully I just picked up a bad batch or maybe this melted at one point without my knowledge.
