💚 Taste: Average.
I personally did not follow the instructions of the biriyani preparation. I used the microwave to cook unlike them saying to use pressure cooker. Maybe then I could get a better taste.
🌱 Nutrition: The item is high in protein. The amount of sodium is too much. So apart from that, it's not really a healthy dish.
💷 Price: 179 rupees which is $2.94 in Canadian currency. The price is very close to the Indian Gits brand that which is non-vegan and that brand is available in Canada unlike this brand.
Ashoka Bombay biriyani which is vegan-friendly and which is already cooked is easy to heat and eat from the microwave oven and doesn't require cooking the dry contents like this brand. The price is around 3 CAD$. So comparing to that brand, it's little expensive as it's not cooked.
Besides that, I did observe is that it’s fair price compared to the western mock-meat brands.
However, those who don't live in India doesn’t have this avantage. There is additional charge of shipping it across the border and sometimes even that option might not be available. In my case, one of my beloved one took full responsibility to gift these items to me as he knew from me that I like gooddot products from the appearance of photos uploaded by others. 🥺💕
I'm impressed but still not very impressed how their products are not being sold in their neighbour countries especially when other Indian products come from various countries.
Infact, in Canada, they did claim to sell here. But their page gooddot_ca page is inactive and they are not handling their project seriously. Otherwise, I'm interested.
