I recently received a few of these Thunderbird bars with a “free it for free, just pay shipping” promotion. This is the first bar I’ve tried.
This bar is similar to a Larabar, but thinner, wider and more flexible. I actually love all of the ingredients: dates, figs, carrots, cashews, vanilla, salt, nutmeg - so it would be a wonder if I didn’t enjoy this. And of course I did, it is sweet, chewy and flavorful. I really liked the touch of nutmeg in the bar.
I think that this product would be great for folks who like to take long hikes or bike rides and need a sweet carb boost. Although I really enjoy it, my tendency is to enjoy whole foods on their own or in my own recipes and leave the special packed treats for items that are more indulgent.
Definitely a high quality snack that’s a healthier option.
