i was getting this for a gluten free friend, but am not gluten free myself. as a gluten free option it isn’t bad, but i’m not sure i would purchase it regularly due to the steep price (i usually find it for $9.99 a bag—no thanks 😅). the slices are usually pretty even except for the end pieces of the bread, and the loaf always comes with the same amount.
the texture of this bread is a little bit off putting sometimes. while functioning normally for sandwiches and such, i find it doesn’t brown in a panini press (as shown in pictures) or even change that much. there’s a thin line between the bread being squishy and cracking because it’s burnt, but you’re not able to tell by looking at it.
taste-wise, i actually like this bread a lot. it doesn’t taste quite like white bread to me, but i enjoy the almost sweeter flavor..? i’m not sure how to describe it, but i really like making it into sweet toast!
