Retro GustoのZucca (veganized) —Le Raton Saveurのレビュー（2023年12月4日）

I want to start this review by saying I’ve had a much better vegan pizza from Retro Gusto prior to getting the abillion app, so it’s a shame I don’t have pictures to review that one…

…because I’m not sure how this one left the kitchen. The staff was super nice and talked me through what veganizing each pizza would remove. After I ordered this one, which was supposed to come with a butternut squash purée as the sauce, the waitress returned to tell me the purée contained dairy so they’d remove it.

I thought they’d swap in some red sauce or something, but instead they served me a very dry pizza. The crust was good (though a bit too crispy from being fired up without sauce), the squash rings were good, and there was a nice oil drizzle with herbs. If they had added some sort of sauce this would’ve been delicious.

Next time I go, I will give them the feedback because they’ve made me an amazing vegan pizza before (I believe it was the Zucchine) - I just wish they’d have put as much care into this one 🫤

So my advice is give them a try but micromanage a bit more? lol
