I like to amp up my choc chip cookies by adding a ball or dab of hazelnut chocolate spread in the middle and add flaky sea salt on top. I had purchased this bottle of Nutiva some time ago as I was unable to get my favorite brand. This one is much more accessible but unfortunately it uses palm oil. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet on its own (comparatively to some) so it works well in this context. If you want pretty and more uniform filling, it’s best to dab on some parchment or something else nonstick and freeze in balls; then you can wrap them inside your cookie dough. Or you can just go with it and add a dab to a cookie dough well and wrap the dough around it. In this case you may get some chocolatey streaks.
