Review of Lemongrass Skewered Impossible Pork Ribs at Privé Paragon by shawneofthedead
I wish more places would make dishes with Impossible Pork in them - after the initial PR flurry, it's all died down, which is a shame because I think it's got so much potential as a plant-based meat!
Anyway - saw that Prive had brought in a couple of Veganuary specials so had to come try this Impossible Pork ribs with rice. It was quite nice - good texture to the ribs (basically giant meatballs). I only wish the achar had been PROPER achar, to give the entire dish more flavour and dimension. This achar tastes bland and anaemic - barely any sour or spicy notes at all, both of which should be there to help punch through the sweetness of the barbecue sauce in which the ribs are doused.
