11 years ago, the first time I went to Zen Gardens, this was the first time I had ever seen purple rice! I love its nutty flavour, how filling it is, it's chewy texture. It is a necessary side whenever you get a main dish. Yummmmmm.

I make this rice all the time with half uncooked brown rice + half uncooked black rice which gives it the purple colour. Delicious
