Kebaya Dining Room regularly serves a 2/3 course meal per head, but I instead ordered a #veganized version of all their greens & a “protein” per their staff’s recommendation in a dome set so this review is essentially of 6 different dishes 😋 Starting at 1 o’clock is their “Kerabu Wing Beans”, a salad of wing beans, toasted coconut, & calamansi lime, followed by a serving of “Achar”, a peranakan staple of spicy pickled vegetables, at 3 o’clock. At 5 o’clock we have a veganized version of their “Prawn Geng”, substituting the prawn for tofu. It was a rich and amazing curry of turmeric and lemongrass - my favourite of the lot (& my girlfriend ordered the non-vegan version). Following that at 7 o’clock is their “Madeira Vine Masak Lemak”; Madeira vines sautéed in a spicy paste & topped with sweet potato chips - another excellency of theirs. Oh gosh I’m hungry again 🥺! At 9 o’clock is “Kerabu” without the optional soft shell crab, a salad of mango & ulam without sambal belacan, and finally at 11 o’clock is a serving of “Chap Chai” - a serving of steamed Chinese cabbage & mushrooms. I cannot rate a meal higher than this. Their food is honestly out of this world. Also *wink wink* @abillion10 should this count for 6 reviews 😜? #veganfinedining #autismawarenessmonth

Kudos to anyone that can help me recall the Malay name for this dome dish set, regularly used in Majlis Kenduri, & I believe of cultural significance. After an hour of searching all I could find is a million results of how to purchase culturally appropriated sets of the item.

Looks like a nice feast!

Omg don't ever say again that all the good vegan stuff is in KL 😛
