It started in Atlanta, Georgia. The year was 1974. Three college students dreamed of creating a pizza joint that served the world’s best stone-baked pizza while staying true to their counter-cultural values. With that, A Higher Order of Pizza™ was born. Almost fifty years later, spanning nineteen states, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has stayed true to that vision of serving fresh, high-quality, stone-baked pizzas. Each independently-owned location provides a one-of-a-kind experience rooted in psychedelic-inspired design and delicious food and beverages. Now get ready to embark on a flavor journey like no other, because Mellow isn’t just a name. It’s a culture. It’s a state of mind. Mellow Mushroom’s plant-based menu includes pizzas, calzones, hoagies, Munchies, and more. So, Veg-heads rejoice. On top of that, we can make any of our vegetarian pizzas fully plant-based. Mellow Mushroom serves vegan-friendly pretzels, salad dressings, sauces, Munchies, and specialty pizzas. On our pizzas, you can substitute any regular cheese for Follow Your Heart® Dairy-Free Cheese.
